January 2017 - Federal Access Update

on Tuesday, 14 March 2017. Posted in Federal Access Program

This month we have the following updates for the Federal Access program.  They are listed below.

1. Step-by-Step Market Sales Strategy - Part 2 (Advanced). So how do successful companies use procurement data? Whether you use a bid-matching system to identify opportunities, the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), USASpending.gov, or other systems. . . other than having a ton of data at your fingertips, how do you actually use that information to create a corporate sales strategy and figure out which government prospects you should really be talking to? Part 2 of the Step-by-Step Market Sales Strategy is a REAL company and you get to see, step-by-step, how they use all this data, how they target the government, and a breakdown of exactly what daily activities they perform. If you’re not absolutely certain about what activities you should be performing to win contracts, this will take you into a successful company’s operations.

2. How To Decide If You Really Need a GSA Schedule (Updated). If you’ve been thinking about getting a GSA Schedule, this is a MUST READ. No doubt, you are getting hounded by marketers and consultants to get a GSA Schedule. But you should NEVER rely on these companies to “validate” whether or not you should really have one. Just because the government spends hundreds of billions of dollars doesn’t mean they buy what you sell . . . on GSA Schedule . . . at the levels necessary for you to get a Schedule. This step-by-step review process shows you the systems you need to review, what to look for, and the questions you need answered BEFORE you start the application process. Why is this so important? Because the companies that want you to pay them don’t tell you that 48% of all GSA Schedule holders fail to win a government contract.

February 2016 - Federal Access Update

on Saturday, 13 February 2016. Posted in Federal Access Program

We have a major update to the document library this month.  We have finally added a digital copy of The Government Sales Manual.

The Government Sales Manual is over 450 pages with more than 1,000 techniques and strategies for government capture management, sales, marketing, teaming, and proposal differentiation.  The manual outlines every core concept required to succesfully market and sell to the federal government.  It is designed to educate you not only on the market, but the strategies you need interally to accelerate your marketing, sales, and proposal efforts.

This manual is the foundation of the Federal Access program and has helped our clients win more than $1.5 Billion in government contracts.  The average company takes 3 to 5 years to educate themselves on the goverment market and successfully win government contracts.  The manual has helped our clients reduce this education and success period by by 75 to 90% saving our clients valuable time and money while helping them win faster.

Federal Access Members can download a copy of the manual from the digital library.  Click here to login and go to the digital library.

January 2016 - Federal Access Update

on Friday, 15 January 2016. Posted in Federal Access Program

This month we have the following updates for the Federal Access Program. They are listed below:

Document Updates

How To Decide If You Really Need a GSA Schedule.  This document complements the January webinar by providing step-by-step instructions, questions you should ask, and additional guidance for determining if you need a GSA Schedule.

Hiring a Government Business Developer - Interview Recommendations and List of Responsibilities. We get this question almost daily, "Can you help us hire a strong business developer?" There's already an outstanding document in the digital library on how to develop a commission plan that attracts the top talent. Now we provide specifics and recommendations on reviewing resumes, the roles and responsibilities in the job listing, and required and desired qualifications.

List of the Primary Government Websites for Competitive Intelligence and Research - These are the main websites that most consultants use (including us) in order to provide our clients with valuable research and intelligence.  Rather than just hiring a consultant to "look up" information, you can learn to facilitate this process yourself and employ consultants to help you with the heavy lifting once you have the proper data.

Video Update

Success at Trade Shows.  This is actually a series of videos we put together while attending several trade shows and conferences in 2015.  This video teaches you how to maximize the value before, during, and after a trade show. Most companies don't set expectations or objectives before attending a conference or trade show.  This video gives you our favorite tips and strategies for making the most out of these events.  And to show you how we practice what we preach, these were shot on location at the SAME Small Business Conference and the National Veterans Small Business Engagement.

All videos are located in the video library and are restricted to Federal Access Members.
